Newmarket - Dr. Paul Friedrichs of Lamprey Health Care recently received the 2010 New Hampshire Outstanding Clinician Award from BiState Primary Care Association for his exemplary skills and service as a primary care clinician. This award serves as a testament to Dr. Friedrichs significant impact on the health of patients and the community in which he serves, and for his devotion to health care for underserved populations.

Dr. Friedrichs has been a Family Physician at Lamprey Health Care’s Newmarket Center since 1986, providing health care services to patients and their families for 24 years. His leadership extends well beyond Lamprey Health Care, however, as he has been published in nationally recognized professional journals, and in 2008 was named the New Hampshire Family Physician of the Year by the New Hampshire Academy of Family Practice - the Academy’s highest award, recognizing clinical achievement, practice excellence, and community involvement.
He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and completed his Family Practice Residency at Brown University. He served as President of the medical staff at Exeter Hospital from 2001 - 2005, and in 1995 he received the McNeil Award for Research in Family Medicine from the American Academy of Family Practice. As a Board-Certified Family Physician, he enjoys providing primary health care services across the full spectrum of care, including obstetrics and pediatrics, geriatrics, hospital medicine, diabetes & chronic care management, and preventive medicine.
Lamprey Health Care is a nonprofit community health care organization whose mission is to provide primary care & preventive health services to individuals of all ages and incomes, regardless of their ability to pay. Lamprey Health Care’s three health centers are located in Newmarket, Raymond and Nashua, New Hampshire, and serve the Southern & Seacoast Areas of New Hampshire.
