The Community Health Center goal is to provide access to affordable, quality health care for all individuals, keeping both the insured and uninsured healthy. We accomplish this by focusing on prevention and health care management, rather than a reliance on emergency rooms and inpatient services when sick.
By providing access to affordable health care, and promoting healthy lifestyles through prevention, education, and outreach, community health centers improve health outcomes and reduce health care costs for their patients and communities as a whole.
Lamprey Health Care is New Hampshire’s oldest and largest private, non-profit community health center, with three centers in Newmarket, Raymond, and Nashua that serve over 16,500 patients of all ages each year. Lamprey Health Care's three health centers meet the guidelines and qualifications for our designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and recognized as a Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its excellence in patient services, use of best practices, and integration of health information technologies.
