“My daughter is the primary reason we “found” Lamprey Health Care back in 1988 when we moved here. She was 7 weeks premature and had several problems at birth. I was so anxious since we had been advised by her pediatrician to move from Denver to get out of the smog and the altitude. She was never hospitalized here as a child and she’s now a very healthy 22 year-old graduate student at UNH. I credit Lamprey Health Care for my daughter’s success.”
Cynthia Giguere-Unrein, Patient and Board Member

We are here to provide you with preventive care, acute care and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma. Being comfortable with a provider who knows you helps to improve your health and ensure your quality of care.
Most of your healthcare needs can be met by your primary care team in the comfort and convenience of our offices. For your specialized medical care, Lamprey Health Care physicians maintain strong referral relationships with their medical colleagues at Exeter Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, as well as specialty hospitals in Boston, Manchester and Dartmouth.
To ensure that your health care costs will be covered, you should review and follow your insurance plan rules regarding referrals. These plans generally require that referrals be made by your primary care provider, so always contact us first before making an appointment to see a specialist. If you have no insurance, we’ll work with you to help you get the care you need.
Since our beginning in 1971, we have enjoyed working with Exeter Hospital, a comprehensive, 100-bed acute hospital. Exeter Hospital provides 24-hour emergency care, state-of-the-art diagnostic resources and surgical facilities, and a broad spectrum of medical specialties. Our Raymond Center and Newmarket Center physicians are active members of Exeter Hospital's medical staff, and several have served in leadership positions at the hospital.
The Nashua Area Health Center enjoys a close relationship with Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where our physicians and nurse midwife have admitting privileges. If you need hospital care, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center (SNHMC) provides comprehensive, personalized care using advanced technologies and innovative hopsital services.
