Lamprey Health Care has been nationally recognized for excellence and outstanding outcomes in prenatal care.
For every stage of a woman’s life, Lamprey Health Care provides patient-centered, comprehensive women’s health services at our three centers.
Lamprey Health Care’s Board Certified physicians, nurse practitioners and nurse midwives provide sensitive, respectful, high quality care to women of all ages. We provide routine exams and minor gynecological procedures onsite in all three of our centers. Our Board Certified OB-GYNs assist women with complex gynecological problems, and are available for consultation with other members of your healthcare team.
Our Nashua Center prenatal provider team consists of a Certified Nurse Midwife, Board Certified Family Physicians and second year Obstetric Resident Physicians from Dartmouth Medical School. Several area OB-GYN practices provide consultation and on-call coverage. Our Centers also offer additional health services to assist our patients with their prenatal care and the development of healthy babies, such as a nutritionist, diabetes educator and a care coordinator to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
Our Centers provide family planning services as needed, including family planning counseling, reproductive health exams, pregnancy testing, provision of emergency contraceptive and STD/HIV screening and treatment. In addition to these services, we offer individual and community health education services, as well as a number of birth control options, including oral contraceptives.
Lamprey Health Care offers comprehensive medical care using a specialized team approach that provides expert care throughout pregnancy and delivery, and focuses on the health care of you and your baby. Along with your Family Physician or Certified Nurse Midwife, your medical team includes an OB-GYN or Prenatal Provider, a Prenatal Nurse to help coordinate your care, a Certified Prenatal and Lactation RN, and care coordinators that provide assistance with resources and support services.
We will help you through any medical issues, assist with any financial concerns, provide you with nutritional counseling and parenting education, and offer you the emotional or social support you may need during your pregnancy. Your Prenatal Coordinator will be your trusted and caring companion during this very special time.
If you are a Lamprey Health Care Newmarket or Raymond patient, you have the option of delivering your baby at the Exeter Hospital Family Center, where our physicians are members of the Exeter Hospital medical staff. The birthing room at the hospital offers a private, homelike environment to experience childbirth.
If you are a Nashua Center patient, you have the option of delivering your baby at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center Birth Place. Each birthing room at the Medical Center's Birth Place offers a private, homelike environment where you can experience the wonders of childbirth.
Lamprey Health Care participates in the Text4Baby program, a free service designed to provide our prenatal patients and new moms with information for a healthy baby through text messages. For more information on the Text4Baby program, click here.
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program is a state-funded program that provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women between the ages of 18 and 65 years, who meet the eligibility requirements. The BCCP Program offers patients breast exams, mammograms for those women over 40 years of age, pelvic exams and pap tests.
Early detection saves lives, and Lamprey Health Care is committed to enrolling women who are financially unable to access screenings. For the best protection, we urge our patients to combine an annual mammogram test with an annual breast exam and monthly self-exams.
For more information or to see if you're eligible to enroll, please call our BCCP coordinator at 603-659-3106, ext 7372 for Newmarket and Raymond patients, and 603-883-1626, ext. 7162 for Nashua patients.
