Lamprey Health Care, Inc. and Genoa Healthcare, LLC Celebrate on-site Pharmacy Grand Opening in Raymond, NH

Strengthening Community Health Through Strategic Partnerships

RAYMOND, NH — April 23, 2025 — Lamprey Health Care, Inc., a cornerstone of community health in New Hampshire since 1971, is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its on-site pharmacy in partnership with Genoa Healthcare LLC at its Raymond center.

This milestone was celebrated at a special event on April 23, 2025, featuring remarks from community leaders, a guided pharmacy tour, and a community celebration meal.

The new pharmacy, which opened on January 21, 2025, brings critical support to patients by providing seamless, integrated care under one roof. Through its collaboration with Genoa, Lamprey Health Care continues to eliminate barriers to medication adherence, offering personalized service and direct coordination with clinical teams. On-site Genoa pharmacies report 90% medication adherence, with significantly reduced hospitalizations and ER visits — a game-changer for patients with complex or chronic health conditions.

The Genoa pharmacy partnership brings another critical level of whole person care to our patients,” said Sue Durkin, MS, RN, CPHQ, Co-CEO of Lamprey Health Care. “Having pharmacy services right here at our Raymond location enhances access, improves outcomes, and supports the unique needs of our community.”

The celebration included an address from Congressman Chris Pappas, who has been a vocal advocate for the preservation and expansion of Community Health Centers (CHCs) across New Hampshire. With federal support for CHCs under increasing pressure, the event is a powerful reminder of the need for sustained investment in local, community-rooted solutions.

“I want to congratulate everyone at Lamprey and Genoa for this partnership. Leave it to Granite Staters to think outside the box and try to figure out a solution to a problem. That's what we do here in New Hampshire”, said Congressman Chris Pappas to resounding applause from the 70 community attendees. He added, “And we know that budgets are extremely tight, that resources are finite, and we've got to find additional ways to be partnering, working together, especially when it comes to the delivery of healthcare.

Guests also heard powerful stories from Genoa patients about the impact of accessible, integrated pharmacy services on their health and quality of life.

“Marjorie Groulx said, “Having a pharmacy here is so convenient and Meaghan (Grinell), the pharmacist, has been so great with me. James Carpenterie added, “Meaghan is kind to us and communicates any delays or insurance issues, which is a big thing for us. Genoa is great at connecting with patients and working closely with them.”

Congressman Pappas continued in response to the patient testimonies, “So to Marjorie and James and so many others like you, we're glad that this partnership has gotten off the ground and that it's truly making a difference, that it's providing better access for folks. And I think some of the issues you hit on, communication, convenience, those are the types of things that really should be the hallmark of our healthcare system. And I know what a great job Lamprey has done through the years, particularly over the last several years, which have been extraordinarily difficult in terms of healthcare challenges in our state at working to put patients front and center.”

This initiative underscores a growing movement in health care — one that values accessibility, personalization, and the strength of creative and collaborative partnerships in meeting the evolving needs of New Hampshire residents.
