Staff Spotlight: Cheryl Mosley

Practice Manager- Newmarket

Introducing Cheryl Mosley, the Practice Manager at Lamprey Health Care's Newmarket Center! Cheryl plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the center, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and maintaining the highest quality of patient care. Her dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset, as she strives to create a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals alike. 

LHC: Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up? How did you get here?

Cheryl: I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I have been with my husband for 41 years. I grew up in Staten Island New York and my dad is from NH so I moved here in my Senior Year of High School. 

LHC: What do you like most about working at Lamprey Health Care?

Cheryl: I love community health, the wrap around services available to patients and the care that we give, and my coworkers. 

LHC: Did you always want to work in healthcare? What would you do if you weren't doing this?

Cheryl: After high school I worked as a nurse's aid and then I went to school for Business office Management and worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where I met my husband, he was a Marine Stationed in Kittery.  After leaving the shipyard I went to school for Human Services and worked at Seacoast Mental Health Center for a few years and decided to be a Para Educator in the Special needs department at a couple High Schools. After a few years I went and worked at a Community Health Center and loved it.  For fun I went to school for Nail Design and became an instructor at the school of Nail Design. 

LHC: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

Cheryl: I love spending time with my grandchildren, gardening, doing crafts, reading and putting together puzzles, I like to stay busy. I also have 2 cats, Oliver and Marco and 10 chickens.   

LHC: What advice would you give to others to be healthy?

Cheryl: Make time for yourself (easier said than done!).
