IT Specialist

Pronouns: he/him/his

LHC: Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up? How did you get here?

James: I grew up in Lowell Massachusetts, and later on my family decided to move up to New Boston, New Hampshire. I also lived in Texas for some time, while I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computers Technology over at Southern New Hampshire University, and graduated in 2020. I was very happy to come aboard at Lamprey in the middle of 2020.

LHC: What do you like most about working at Lamprey Health Care?

James: What I love about working at Lamprey Health Care, is that I’m able to help the people, that help the patients that need health care. Which is why I think it is a very fulfilling job, compared to working at other big corporations.

LHC: Did you always want to work in healthcare? What would you do if you weren't doing this?

James: I actually did always want to work in healthcare! I originally had considered going into the medical field, and becoming a doctor. But my passion for building computers and other related things, led me to the technology world. The best part of my job is that I get to do technology and healthcare at the same time!

LHC: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

James: Outside of work, one of my favorite things to do is ride my motorcycle. Other things that I really enjoy is hiking, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my dogs!

LHC: What advice would you give to others to be healthy?

James: My personal advice would be to try and stay active every single day, even if it’s something small. For example, on Sundays when I feel kind of lazy, I try to force myself to get up and go for a quick run or do some yoga. Doing so, I think transforms the outlook of my day, starting your day with some active activity, will lead to more positive choices. I also like to do workouts before I get to Lamprey Health Care, and that helps me keep my energy levels up so I can give a good service to people.
